Gaze With Me

I sit here gazing at the waterfall in front of me.
Rays of the sun filter through the falling water.
The water rushes boldly forth

There is now full sunlight and not a bother...
The translucent stream continues onward as it splashes off
the rocks on its way down so free.
It meets with a lively stream flowing past.

These surroundings and to this scene my whole
being is lured.
The lake below accepts the merging and a happy
ripple is cast.

The green topped mountain range above and beyond
majestically stands.
The scent of new life around me gathers.
Trees and bushes scatter along the path of this magnificent
range.
I sit and take it all in; envision the creator with paint brush in articulate hand.
I dare anyone not to marvel at the sight of this
freshness of life; of this simple and natural change.

Ooh, Lady, here in the Northern Hemisphere, I've got spring fever so bad from reading this piece. It's strongly visual, it lifts my mood (and my expectations and hopes, hence the spring fever), it connects with my faith and my esthetics. I want to drop everything and walk to the place described in five minutes. Ummm.... I think that means you did several things well, here.

Hi, Linda
I have been so busy tweaking the site and playing with all the Site building buttons that I haven't been checking out all the posts. Shame on me!

But I enjoyed this. I worked with a fellow from New Zealand for about two years. I retired from that job January 2. Anyway, Mike liked for me to call him the Kiwi. Very Happy

But the mountains and the scenes that you speak of reminds me of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. Thanks for sharing.

I read this and it brought vivid images of New Hampshire in the springtime. (Sigh) Ahhhh, well, maybe someday I will go there again and relish the view and majesty of it all.
